    • Kelemvor and Tharizdun are in conflict regarding the souls of mortal beings, with one shepherding them to the afterlife, and the other condemning them to eternal darkness
    • As winter comes and nature either dies or hibernates, the spring waits for its chance to overturn the cold, bringing life back to the world. So it is that Auril and Lathander continue their eternal struggle
    • Kord, valuing strength and the power to overcome the odds, finds his nemesis in Talona, whose diseases and poisons causes those virtues to wither away
    • As the corruption of knowledge tempts others to sin, Asmodeus seeks to assert his dominion over Oghma as the true keeper of all tales
    • While Tymora grants good fortune, she does so while contested by Shar, who wishes for nothing more than the loss of everything for all
  • The Warforged
    • In the opposition of self-sacrifice against tyranny, Torm and Bane make their war in the hearts of all rulers
    • While Chauntea feeds the worlds beings with bountiful harvests, Bhaal drives them to kill each other for personal gain
    • As Lliira brings with her the joy of living, Cyric seeks to undermine the happiness by sowing seeds of doubt and division through his lies
